Garland Richards is the president, founder and volunteer of the Fort Chadbourne Foundation. The fort has been in Garland's family since 1876. The names have changed from Odom to Wylie to Richards due to only having daughters in the families. Garland takes Fort Chadbourne to schools, civic clubs, historical associations, and etc to promote Fort Chadbourne. Currently, there are eight generations living on the ranch today. Garland is a local and attended Bronte ISD and Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. He is a rancher at the Chadbourne Ranch.
Lana Richards is secretary/treasurer and founder of the Fort Chadbourne Foundation. She volunteers in assisting with daily operations for the Foundation. Lana graduated from Lake View High School in San Angelo, TX. She worked at West Texas Utilities for 11 1/2 years. She also helps Garland in ranching operations.
