Planned Visitor's Center/Museum
The Fort Chadbourne Foundation will break ground on their new 10,000 square foot Visitor's Center in October 2009.
Through the graciousness of Charles and Joy Blake, acting
as executors to the proceeds of Roberta Cole Johnson, this million
dollar Visitor's Center is now a reality. The Fort Chadbourne, Roberta
Cole Johnson complex will house all the many artifacts
found here, including both military, Native American, and family heritage items.
Gun displays, cannons, and many other exciting
displays are planned for this wonderful new addition to historic Fort Chadbourne.
The complex will also include a library for research,
a media center, gift shop, new offices, and outdoor exhibits.
